About Me
I am an Insolvency & Restructuring attorney with 37 years of experience. I advise clients on complex
deleveraging and restructuring strategies, with a particular focus on the commercial real estate, healthcare,
and hospitality sectors, providing practical and innovative solutions tailored to each matter.
As an INSOL International Fellow, I maintain a national and international restructuring practice, have
appeared before dozens of U.S. bankruptcy judges, and have participated in more than 40 cross-border
insolvency initiatives since 2014. I have guided financially distressed businesses through chapter 11
proceedings, preserved enterprise value, and helped save thousands of jobs.
In addition to my domestic practice, I have more than a decade of experience advising foreign governments
on the development and implementation of modern insolvency laws and restructuring frameworks. I have
conducted on-the-ground capacity-building initiatives in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Morocco, Egypt, Kuwait,
the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and the Republic of Georgia. I regularly speak, write, and lead workshops in
coordination with the World Bank Group, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law
Development Program, INSOL International, and other international organizations.
